Outlier Partners With COVID-19 Response
1 min read
March 25, 2020 - Fresno, CA - In response to the spread of COVID-19, Outlier Automation joined COVID-19 Response LLC - a team of engineers and consultants working together to provide critical supplies to our communities, starting with hand sanitizer.
The products produced will be sold close to cost, with profits reinvested to continue production as long as needed. After the pandemic dies down, the LLC will be dissolved and proceeds donated to charities involved in societal and economic rebuilding.
Update May 18, 2020 - You can now order hand sanitizer online at www.shoprespond.com* (*edit: link no longer valid). As businesses start to open and people look to get back to work, we hope that our hand sanitizer can help to ensure that we all stay healthy.
The hand sanitizer is currently available in boxes of 32, 8-oz bottles and 4, 64-oz bottles. For large orders, please email hello@shoprespond.com* (*edit: email address no longer monitored).
Update March 26, 2020 - Now a full year later, we’re happy to announce that the COVID-19 Response team has ramped down production of hand sanitizer. Thank you to everyone who supported our efforts. We were able to donate $750,000 across 5 different charities each working to make a difference in their communities:
Fresno Barrios Unidos: programs and support for youth, young adults, and their families
Y2Y Network: a homeless shelter for young adults
MassUndocuFund: COVID-19 relief for undocumented people
Father’s Uplift Inc.: a mental health and substance abuse treatment facility for fathers
My Stuff Bags Foundation: providing bags of comforting items to children in crisis
We are so proud and honored to have been a part of this effort and the resulting impact.
